The Working Dog certificate is awarded by the American Spaniel Club and
recognizes a dog's ability to be a "satisfactory companion hunter during a
day in the field. Dog worked within gun range of handler, under reasonable
control, was never a nuisance. Dog can find, flush and retrieve birds from
land or water, and does not display gunshyness or hard mouth."
